One more round girls. Let the boyscouts hear you.

CONVERTED: I am now Hindu.

FOUND: Two gray socks. rolled up a bit. One under my bed (newly busted) and one by my laundry. If these two gray socks are not claimed by 6.11 I will consider them a birthday gift and wear them.

LOST: My cough drops. I bought them yesterday at the pharmacy. Lemon-mint flavored. Sugar free.

DONE: disc 11 and 13 of Seinfeld... it's amazing the dvd watching you can get done when you're sick and cannot talk.

WANT TO DO: fix my goddamned bed. I've given up and I think tonight the fucker is going on the floor.

Erin. Thank you for letting me watch dvds on your computer in your bedroom while I've been sick. I couldn't understand why it was so comforting and after giving it much thought I realized that when I was young my mom used to let us (Matt Mollie Meaghan or Michael) lay in her bed and watch movies when we were sick. Something about being out of your own bed perhaps.

How was work?

Dancing to the latin beat in the dishroom today led to Oscar's calling me "Spice Girl." Clapping and saying "whoooo!" for the delivery man who made it safely to the bottom of the basement steps with several heavy boxes dense with bread and vegetables produced no response.
Revealing to Andy the secret to happiness (according to Csikszentmihalyi) seemed to make him just a little happier. I enjoyed the wholesome goodness of couscous with carrots, zucchini, chickpeas, and potatoes, along with some fresh ground coffe. I never realize how much I miss the food until I come back after a hiatus.
This job is far superior to the better payer.

unbelievable, this picture. captel? more like craptel. thanks for the welcome though moll. i almost fell asleep during my re-train while erica was reminding me about the ins and the outs of the pause pedal. inserts. recordings. i already knew. i was also having bittersweet flashbacks from the last chunk of time when i worked there. i remember when i thought i was saving up for a trip to barcelona (where did all that savings ever go?), and now (i think) i am saving up for a plane ticket to yokohama. i slipped and told katie, who is in charge of hiring, that I was looking for a job in japan, which is still a lie since i already have one, but she looked at me sort of suspiciously like i was trying to scam something on her. oh well, too bad she already hired me! i just avoided two of my favorite japanese TAs here at the library, merely waving at them even though I have great news for them, because i am self-conscious about my speaking ability. this is going to have to change. i am curious as to whether erin did any of the 41 things we wrote on a list for her to do. i am going to go home now and find out. adam is a good cook.

Cheers....darlin'

Captel Captel Captel. Welcome back LindsayLou. Your dreams of captioning are about to be fufilled. As you being your retrain you may experiance fatigue, insomnia... or both. After retrain you will move on to "the call floor" after a while you will begin forgetting to bring something to do during work downtime (or during, as I prefer... my one amazing multitask skill... caption while doing anything ever and all) so you will forget your crafts and spend the shifts looking at the celing and pondering the meaning of life. Then you will start to remember all of the shitty things you've ever done and how you are a worthless piece of shit, and then you will have to go home early and loose that 20bucks from your paycheck cause you just couldn't take the mental and emotional stress and then you'll get home and caption everyone in your head and THE WORLD WILL EXPLODE! welcome back LindsayLou.

I love CAPTEL!

on a happy note: 18 days until my birffday. Invitations will be going out soon.
My Birffday List:
Lawnmower (or maybe that nonprofit org. can just swing by and take care of it)
rocks (for my garden)
grass seed
fish (dead ones for party decorations)
chemo bert
new tire for my yellow bike

...to be continued

Love Panic

These are the types of things that happened to me today during my Japanese final:
-sweating
-blurred vision
-shaking
-racing thoughts
I never get nervous about tests! It was really weird and I had a good laugh about it afterward with the classmates. We had sandwiches, soup, pickles, sodas, chicken wings, and spicy fries for lunch together and talked about going to Japan, which everyone (sensibly) has plans to do. I love school. Bye, school! YOU MOTHERFUCKER! I guess it's always been love/hate.

thats what happens when i attempt to post

i wrote a great post, by my standards anyway, and tried to publish it and the blog website was making improvements and it didn't work and i was thrown all this computer language! so i'll try again i suppose, but only for my personal representative. First i would like to say Happy-end-of-the-really-fricken-hard-semester-day!! its been too hard, but thank god for all of our health that it is over. i had a great experience at the dentist this lovely morning at 413 west washington...we chatted about songs on the radio, aerosmith/the cure..discussed the best type of toothpaste hidden underneath all the scam of the whitening campaign (colgate total, for anyone whose interested)...and...dentist: "i am just going to numb you up here.." i squirmed in the chair "NO! please..painful needle.." and she just said "okay, i won't do it" simple as that, i just had to ask her to not do it and she didn't. amazing! so no painful needles= happy. i am already excited for my next visit scheduled for may 18th. don't worry, just a routine cleaning. i guess since this is a website and everything, i better let everyone know how wonderful my life is. my life is wonderful. never been better. really great. my life is the best it has ever been. ever!!

No wonder I've been feeling so sick. Ah to be me.

Lindsay and Erin... where did you go?

There is no greater King than King.... RON.

Things I need:

To go to the post office
Someone to come to my house and take care of me because I am very sick. They need to provide tv on dvd though. That's the only way I'll get better.
A new screen for the kitchen window
Someone to cover for me at work tonight(cause I'm sick)
Kleenex
My ability to scream and yell and laugh (can't do it anymore cause I'm sick)

Things that are my favorite:

Muffin: almond poppyseed
Jelly: Lemon
Uncle: Mark (or Jon... that's a tough one)
Cat: Marla
Flower: my amazing gladiolas
King: Ron
Juice: Kool-aid
Food: Rice (I'm going to change my name to Mollie Rice Christmas)
Shoes: Green
Scar: The one on my knee from jumping down the capitol steps

AND BIG BIG BIG NEWS! Hepzibah is moving to Madison in July/ Aug.! YAY!

It's possible that David is coming to my birthday party... which means you should too... because he's pretty great, and if he's there, then you KNOW it's going to be a blast. It convinced Jenny. Who is also very quite great and amazing. God bless.

more great stuff!

I met with my brain doctor this morning and I have an anxiety problem! No medication necessary, I got a workbook and some supplemental notebooks to work through my quarter life crisis. I am now on the path to mastery of my anxiety/ panic. sweet.
then we drove around in the neighborhood where I grew up... it looks the same. We saw inside the garage of our old home, and there were still things my dad had built stockpiled in the corner.
then we went to the pet store and bought dog food for Seven, who happens to be nine.
then we went to the optomitrist because my dad needs new prescription sunglasses
then we went to the bank, and the teller gave us a rose, we were surprised, and she said, "It's for mothers day" and apparrently she thought my dad and I were a happy couple who had kids...? hah hah.
then we went to Hunan Garden and got takeout... so very much my favorite
then we sat on the lawn... which happens to be much nicer than mine, but I'm working on it... and my dad rolled around in the grass and talked about his back problems.
then Tim, my dads friend pulled up to the house in his awesome red pickup and had lunc with us. He gave me a lemonaide.
then Tim and my dad and I watched Days of Our Lives together, and Tim is very familiar with the show... in FACT he knows the actor who plays Roman... he says he's a nice guy. Tim says he has insomnia too, and I offered to let him borrow my anxiety workbook.
and then I was sitting on our patio, and Tom the neighbor drove by, said hello... and I tell you. It's good to be home. Like Cheers. Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came.

I'm at Home. Lah Lah Lah!

This morning I woke up and had my cheerful coffee and cigarette with my dad. Then We dropped my litte brother off at middleschool...aw... and then we drove home and found a FREE birdfeeder! It's broken but my dad said he'd fix it for me today. ERIN! This means our dreams of a happy lawn are nearing completion.

I have 2, count um, 2 hot dates for Saturday. Goddamn.

Other plans for the weekend include,
1. seeing J. Berge
2. watching vh1
3. frolicking with family pets
4. taking over the world with Meaghan aka brainmaster3000

My dad and I are watching the news right now, and there's a bit on skydiving... my dad and I made a pact to go skydiving when I graduate... I just reminded him...(he forgets, he's 51)... and his face lit up and he said "Yeah! Hurry the hell up! That's insane!... for real?" I said yeah, and he started laughing. I love my dad.

Pulling a String and Tin Can Telephones

It would probably be one of the best parts of my day if I could go home and enjoy a grilled vegetarian patty with three of my closest friends, maybe crack open a beer, roll a spliff, and talk about the loveliness of the evening, our new lawn, the men in our lives, and religion, but i guess everyone will have to just pretend i am there (put my green sweater on a chair maybe?), because this is my week of doing a lot of big and little things to ensure i pass my last semester of school and it's not going to be over until friday when you will all be gone and i will be all alone and maybe dead by then because i was in such a hurry that i ate the poison part of my banana this morning!

Grill out tonight on our NEW LAWN! dah dah dah!

Lindsay-bop, I have discussed with Meara and Erin... we will be grilling tonight! Please come... we miss you.

I have insomnia agian. I was up until the wee hours last night writing and drawing in my Rod Stewart sketch-o-matic... wearing my grandpa Bills furry Russian black cat hat and a pair of white knee socks... singing... hope I didn't keep anyone up.

Humankind is mad, and the most anyone can do is bear witness.

It was just my imagination... mmm... running away with me... ooo

I was biking to school... about 10 mins ago... up Johnson... being quite proud of myself for biking and smoking at the same time... had a great happy song from the 1960s in my head... enjoying the weather... WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN a biker comes down the bike lane and starts yelling at me. "This is ONE WAY ONE WAY! Don't bike on this path in the WRONG DIRECTION! ONE WAY ONE WAY." As he was going past me I dropped my cigarette and gave him the finger and told him to fuck off. Some people are much too serious. Who gives a shit if you bike the wrong way on a one way street in the bike lane. Not me.

Monday, May 02, 2005

Ooo baby. BaBY BABY!

This is how it's all gonna go down. First I am going to apologize for everything I've ever done. Then I'm going to watch Linz drive away on her happy red scooter. Then I'm going to watch my garden grow (which, by the way, it is doing... I WIN!). Then I'm going to paint my fingernails and toenails red. Then I'm going to scream and break glass and ask the world why. Then I'm going to get MYSELF A GEM SWEATER! For real kids... check out the link. I'm in love.
